Marketing Intern

A Small Orange has an internship for someone looking to get in the trenches of online marketing and branding while making a noticeable impact at a quickly growing, very successful technology company.
Internships will begin in May 2012, and carry on through August 2012 (our time frames are flexible according to individual schedules).

Things you can expect to accomplish:
- Writing (and testing) copy for A Small Orange’s website, marketing materials, press releases newsletters, blog, and more.
- Brainstorming on how to get the word out about A Small Orange and implementing one or more of your ideas.
- Organizing and helping our customers run customer meetups around the country.
- Talking to potential partners and sourcing business development deals.
- Working with our Marketing Manager on a variety of ad campaigns, including paid search, SEO, retargeting, and more.
- Representing A Small Orange (alongside other team members) at events, conferences, or trade shows.
What your background should be:
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other graduate school candidates are also welcome.
- Excited about working in a relatively small company on something that has not been done before.
- Driven, self-motivated, and extremely pro-active. We love people who ask “what’s next?”
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Organizational skills are a must.
- Passionate about online marketing.
- A keen eye for web and graphic design.
What you need to know:
- Extremely strong communication skills, including exceptional writing skills.
- Basics of social media and online marketing.
- Comfortable learning about and talking about technology.
- Ideally, experience with Adobe products (Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Ideally, a little bit about web hosting.
